Zermatt, home of the Matterhorn, is great for skiing but also snowfinches, alpine accentor, golden eagles, nutcrackers - further down the valley at Leuk, wallcreepers are a possibility even in winter: http://www.flickr.com/photos/breffn...57625636547141/
