Here in Canada birding groups from all the provinces have a tradition of keeping a winter list from December 1 to the end of February.Blake Maybank collects all the totals on his website here.If any of you would like to start recording a winter list I have started this thread.I will start it off,
Today birded a local spot where they put out birdseed, found a few
nice species that you usually don't see in the winter,
1.House Sparrow
2.White-throated Sparrow-9 counted
3.Harris's Sparrow-1
4.Dark-eyed Junco-1
5.European Starling
6.American Crow
7.Rock Dove
That is one cold-looking bird!!
