Hello and thanks for all the info on Dunfries/Galloway birding sites submitted before our hols to the region. had some brill birding experiences while there...esp the Red Kite feeding station at farm in Lauriston, where I also saw my first GS Woodpecker.(non in Ireland). Very impressed with the information supplied at local information centres on our visit.RSPB member at Lauriston gave wonderful in-sight into areas to visit-but we never got glimpse of the Golden Eagle(will have to go back to Donegal to see that Hopefully). And did see the Osprey in Wigtown area from a distance. Are they still in the area? I know that the season is over for them, but,hopefully they will be back.
