This is my life list as of now:
Pretty good start, I'd say, Ken. You've got a couple on there I'd be awfully pleased to see, like the Gila woodie and the Abert's Towhee, not to mention the hummer and the roadie!
I DO have one Arizona bird not on your list yet: a Green-tailed Towhee (gorgeous male, too!) that spent about 3 months at a feeder in southern Indiana. The homeowner, fortunately, is a fellow birder with a very generous heart -- he posted directions to his house on the 'net via IN-BIRD and welcomed one and all to see it.
The bird was extremely cooperative, showing up numerous times daily, doing that little towhee scritch-hop in the grass under the feeders.
I was lucky enough to see it (after waiting only about 30 minutes, no less) on New Year's Day, giving me a heck of a jump-start on birds for 2004!
Just looked at your list again, and I'm waiting for that Gambell's Quail and Raven, too!
And I'd love to see the Ruby-crowned Kinglet as well as the Gila, Abert's Towhee, and Gambel's Quail.
Nice start!
