I was out at Elmley reserve (Isle of Sheppey Kent) and spotted a lone male Ruddy duck - I searched for his mate but she was nowhere to be seen, he really was a stunning little fellow and a delight to watch. I guess that he has "escaped" from a private collection, but hey! who knows his lady friend may just find him!
