Hello,
I could do with a hand also. We sighted a bird near Stirling in Scotland and have no idea.
The bird was seen amongst cattle in trees. It was approximately the size of a common blackbird (or possibly up to a jay) but had a narrow, elegant, dark beak curved at the end not unlike a tree creeper. The colour was pale pink / beige throughout apart from a single narrow line horizontally through the eye area.
The wing has 2-3 black pinion feathers and possibly a single white feather on the wing.
This was a single sighting and never been seen previously by locals but seemed to be habituated with the cattle. A possible visitor or an escapee?
Any help / suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
Dave

Dave hi
Think you may have had a view suggestions in another thread where you posted this - most likely candidate is Hoopoe (nice one if it is!) an increasingly frequent summer visitor to Britain - likes hanging around cattle too! However, I'm amazed one has found it's way so far north.
