I set the following up in the Uganda forum but in hindsight it would be better located here under the vacation reports hence this link to the original thread.

===============================
Back from a real adventure in Uganda in October and have only just finished sorting out the photos !
We did the Entebbe => Murchison => Kibale => QENP => Bwindi => Lake Mburo => Entebbe circuit. It wasn't a birdwatching holiday, more a birds, mammals and scenery holiday so there was no effort made to search for the endemics or rare forest dwellers.
I was prepared for the afternoon rains but hadn't realised quite how the Ugandan infrastructure would be affected by the rain. We had to take longer routes due to bridges being washed away (Masindi to Kibale was 8hr instead of 5hr), got stuck in mud on 2 occasions, slid off the road once and had to miss large parts of Ishasha region and Lake Mburo due to the risk of getting stuck. Afternoon walks at Bigodi swamp and Bwindi were also washed out. Hotels were almost empty !
However I would recommend Uganda to anyone due to the variety of the national parks, variety of birds and of course the chimps and gorillas. Boat trips to the falls and delta in Murchison were amazing (with fantastic views of shoebill and beeaters) and the experience of being surrounded by a troop of c30 chimps in kibale was an experience never to be forgotten. Just be prepared to be very flexible if you go during the short rains !!
I've attached a few of the best shots to this and 2 subsequent messages (see original thread). If you are interested the rest, inc records shots, are in flickr and i hope this link should work.
