My wife and I took a trip out to San Diego, California, May 1 to May 6. I was able to add eleven species of birds to my life list for the lower 48 states. We had a great time while there. I did not get any photos of the native birds as I was concentrating on just seeing the birds. I did get a photo of the bird below while we were at the San Diego Zoo.
