I was in South Florida this weekend. We had three days due to Columbus day being off. Stops on the trip included Ding Darling, Cape Coral, Corkscrew, Fort DeSoto, Okaloacoochee, and Weedon Island (not in order). Lifers were:
Common Ground-Dove
Reddish Egret
Mottled Duck
Carolina Chickadee
Monk Parakeet
Magnificent Frigatebird
Sandwich Tern
Acadian Flycatcher
White-eyed Vireo
Yellow-throated Warbler
Red-cockaded Woodpecker
Crested Caracara
Marbled Godwit
and last (but MOST CERTAINLY not least!) of all Burrowing Owl!!
It was a great trip, and I got some great pics!! I will post more after I upload and resize them.
I'm jealous now that you have seen the magnificent frigatebird, and you have a photo of a Little Blue.
