Had a great week in the West Country on a whistle-stop tour that took in:=
The Northam Burrows (North Devon)
Mevagissey (South Cornwall)
Dawlish Warren (South Devon)
South Dorset
Here is my list of the week, meticulously recorded in my little blue book. Nothing sensational, but then I would not recognise something rare anyway! I would like to have seen more waders, but there you go…
I have put some comments after various species which are queries I have. I am not the most experienced birder in the world, so I would appreciate some advice

Looks like you had a good time.
I was in South Devon from 7th - 14 th October and there was about 20 Razorbills close inshore at Dawlish Warren. I certainly did not expect them but I do come from inland and don't know Devon's birds. I thought Dawlish Warren was a great place, and could certainly have spent a lot longer there !
