World Trip Reports

Texas and Arizona

I returned last month from a six week trip to the Texas Gulf Coast, Rio Grande Valley, Big Bend National Park, Southern Arizona and the White Mountains of Arizona. I took 6000 plus photos (thank goodness for digital) which resulted in 135 lifers and 50 improved bird photographs. Now for me, I count male, female and juveniles separately where they can be distinguished one from the other. Lifers of particular note were the White Morph of the Reddish Egret, male and female Flame-colored Tanagers, Clay-colored Robin and the Elegant Trogon.

It will take me about a week to get the new photographs loaded up onto my website, but, at 3 photographs per day, it will take quite some time for me to get them all in my gallery here at Birdforum.

Hallo Bob,

very interesting homepage, with nice bird pictures.
How good is the chance to see cardinal ?
There also very interesting woodpeckers.

I wait for nice landscape pictures from US. In Your homepage are lot of interesting landscapes. I wondered about the pictures about Germany.
I do not know the english word half wood house ( in german Fachwerkhaus ).
Very interesting is also Your castle series. Maybe in next time You will have possiblity to see ower most well known castle Wartburg. Is known because Martin Luther.
Very nice landscape and also good place for birdwatching ( especielly in migration time ) is island Ruegen.
