Syrian Woodpecker in Budapest

Long shot I know, but anyone know a good site for Syrian Woodpecker within Budapest. Going on a works trip next Wednesday, with no time to hire a car, so limited to public transport within the city. Tried Gellert Hill on a previous trip but could only find Great Spotted.

Sorry for asking rather than contributing.

Don't know a specific site there, but in Turkey I always found Syrian in more open country than GSW. I don't think they're typically a woodland species.

Thanks chowchilla. Sounds like good advice. It's difficult to avoid heading for the best looking habitat when searching for woodpeckers, where GSW dominate. I think I've read before that Syrian are associated with fringe habitats like gardens and orchards in Europe.

Thanks again.
