In a moment of boredom (IE at Work) i`m sat here totting up my self-found list.
A couple of quick questions about the eligability (or otherwise) of birds -
Birds seen on a seawatch but called out by someone else
I`m thinking Crested Tit here - I go to Strathspey, and I see one wandering through the woods but not at a particular site
What do people think here?
The tit would be perfectly countable as a find, unless you knew prior to arriving that there would be one at that exact point, just because they breed in the area is no garantee that you will find one.
As for the seawatching, I usually would count it as a find as you were all in the area, but then if it was a mega like a frigate bird or something I might not claim the find, I suppose its a bit subjective of the exact situation.
Seabirds... no... Crested tit - yes - I always have trouble with the genuine surprise line... taken to its limist you couldn't count Grouse!
