Hello all,
I will be in Peruibe , just an hour or so south of Sau Paulo for a few days in late December.I can only get one birding day in there but I would like to find an English speaking guide that could accomidate me.
I will also be in Ourinhos ,Brazil .Probably 4 hours west of Sao Paulo thru Christmas.I would also like to know if there are any guides/birders in that area that I could spend a day with.
Please let me know if you have any reliable leads. I have sent an email out to Edson Endrigo of Sao Paulo hoping for a reply from him , but I may need a backup plan .

Stephen.. if it wasn't so close to Christmas I would happily go with you. The problem is that I will be travelling for almost 2 months right after that so I have to stay with my family some time...
Like I told you before, I don't know the Peruibe area, but I do know a pretty good birding spot near Cubatao, maybe we could go there, depending on the day, do you know the exact dates you will be here? You have to be careful if you are going to bird alone anyway, the backroads of that region is pretty dangerous, it has a high crime rate... this place I mention I know the guys there and it's inside a private property.
As far as guides, if Edson is not available let me know and I will send a message to a birding group here asking for some help.

I have two days reserved for birding Peruibe area, Dec 21st and Dec 22nd.I will be arriving and leaving Peruibe the day before and the day after these dates. I would be expecting to have to travel to get to good habitat, have bins, guide, and scope .I have contacted all of the birding guides that I know of in the area and so far they are all going to be busy or on holiday.
Thanks for your reply and please let me know (private message) if there is anyway you think you could meet me for birding. Yes I am desperate for a birder / guide !
