I am originally from here but have live in San Diego for the last 20 years. I saw some cool stuff there, birds I haven't sen forever as they don't make it this far south. Two I want to highlight are the Tufted Duck (posted as well in the ID thread for a plumage ID). The other is the Glaucous Gull. I haven't one of these in over 20 years and it too was at the same location as the bird I saw on Sunday December 7. Here are links to my pics.
