Hi All,
I have put together a small report on a recent trip to Queensland, Australia. I also did manage a few pictures, some have been uploaded to my gallery here, more to follow.
Cheers
Niels
Hi Niels
Very interesting report and brings back very fond memories of my own trips to Brisbane and Cairns. I'm particularly envious of your sighting of Little Eagle at Mt Coot-tha. I spent all day at the top of Mt Coot-tha as best man at my brother's wedding exactly two years ago and it was the only day of a three week trip without a lifer! Also envious of the Samsonvale Red-backed Kingfisher, Tom didn't have one of those waiting for me.

Hi Edward,
Tom said that during (if i remember correctly) 16 years, this was only the second red-backed K anywhere near Brisbane, so it is no surprise he did not have one for you. I suspect he had something else I did not get :)
This was definitely a very good trip for me birdwise, I could not have wished for more.
The little eagle was my second, I had another one on a visit to Victoria a couple of years ago. Scaly breasted Lorikeet was a first for me at that visit.
Cheers
Niels
