plymouth santander cruise in September

What birds might I see on Brittany ferries plymouth santander cruise in September and anyone got any tips as to how to spend the four hours in Spain please?

Almost any of the seabirds that pitch up in SW Britain up to then, although by that time Cory's may be dropping off a bit. There should still be some Greats and a chance of Little Shear. Early morning the boat usually has passerine migrants on board.

There should still be cetaceans as well but if the weather is good for birds i.e. windy it will be more difficult for cetaceans.

The best plan at Santander is either to go along the waterfront to the big open gravel wasteland that has Crested Lark or to shoot through the town uphill to an open track that has an assortment of Spanish open country birds such as Woodchat, Fan-tailed Warbler, Sardinian Warbler - we also had about 60 Griffon Vultures some years ago.

Alternatively just head for the nearest off-licence and stock up on cheap booze.

When we went it was a good idea to do your checking in immediately after getting off so as to save time and panic on return from the run ashore, don't know if that still applies.

Isn't this a description of Bilbao rather than Santander?
