While on holiday in the Algarve in June I saw distant flamingoes close to Slagados golf course. I was on a coach at the time and it was approaching the golf course from the west.
I assumed this was a distant view of Pera marsh. However after checking google earth the water course that I saw the flamingoes on is a triangular lake at the north west corner of the golf course while closer to the sea is another area of water/marsh.
Is this whole area known as Pera or just the south west corner near the sea.
