hi all
a very enjoyable long weekend, with much birding done from the house , it was that good. from the doorstep, the soundtrack of lapwings displaying, plovers calling, ravens calling, gulls calling was really good.
having seen ravens taking lambs here previously, it was sad to see them raiding eggs from lapwing nests, but the lapwings seemed overall to have the upper hand. a walk of numerous golden plover in mating plumage was a fine find, spied briefly from afar before retreating.
