I have just got back from a working trip to the States where I had a very limited time to do any birding, I actually managed only one morning serious birding, about 3 hours in total, but due to the help from Paul and Barbara Serridge of the Greenville Birdwatchers Club in South Carolina managed to see twenty-six species of bird , ten of wich where lifers, many, many thanks to you both.
If anyone is planning a trip abroad it is definatly worth checking out clubs in the area to which you are traveling and making contact, and hopefully, like me finding birders with local knowledge willing to give up time to show you around.

I'm glad that you enjoyed your birding experience here in the states. What birds did you see?
