Here is our trip report from NW India - at last.
We stood ten meters from the wild Asiatic Lion and saw four Tigers on the last afternoon in the field.
We had great views of Great Indian and McQueen's Bustards, Indian Skimmer, Grey Hypocolius, Koklass Pheasant, Sociable and Grey-headed Lapwings, Black-bellied Tern, Sykes Nightjar, Stoliczka and Hodgson's Bushchats, Black-naped Tit, Chestnut-headed Tesia and Scarlet Finch.
We include descriptions of Gir Forest, Greater and Little Rann of Kutch and Chambal. These sites more than compensate for demise of traditional birding places of Bharatpur and Ranthambore. Gujarat and Corbett are in great need of ecotourism - so we hope to entice more birders to go there. :)

Thanks a lot for the report, Jurek.
It's an impressive piece of work.

An outstanding report, Jurek. Excellent.
I can't believe how bad Bharatpur and Ranthambore have become. We also ran into Harish Singh at Bharatpur - a nice guy at first, but wouldn't leave us alone (although we repeatedly told him we didn't want a guide on that day) until he became very annoying - so instead used Goverdhan Singh for a single day who was superb.
