Hello all
For those of you who enjoy watching birds that have formed a 'self-sustaining population', feel free to have a look at my recent trip report from Northern Italy: -
http://www.freewebs.com/richbonser/...talymay2006.htm
As well as Parrotbills (naturally an Asian species), Bobwhites (a North American native species) and Sacred Ibis (an African species) there were actually some more natural species noted including Red-footed Falcon and Spotted Nutcracker.
Once again, this recent trip shows that Italy is one of Europe's most underrated and almost forgotten avian gems.
Cheers and good birding
Rich
