World Trip Reports

Northern Georgia USA

I will be in N. georgia USA in August any advice from anyone about species and sites etc. When exactly does fall start?

Kennesaw Mountain!

Click on hotspots, in the above link to find the greatest places in GA. Depending on when in August you come you may want to choose more Blue Ridge mt sites (early august) or piedmont sites (late august)

and if you have plenty of time on your hand (like me, obviously), you may want to read about any unusual sightings or current bird info at this site, http://www.birdingonthe.net/mailinglists/GABO.html

Have fun!

"A Birder's Guide to Georgia" Joel R Hitt & Kenneth Turner Blackshaw - an "Occasional Publication of the Georgia Ornithological Society" may be of use for pre-trip planning?

Styled like the ABA ring-bound guides and includes bar charts. Got mine from Subbuteo Books for a trip in '98 - 5th edition then. May be worth seeing if there's a more up to date version?
