Anyone know anything about night parrots?, they're suppost to be a nocturnal ground parrot of Australia. People are searching for them, but not any confermined sightings have been made since 1990.These birds are now one of my favourites.
I haven't seen any reports of sightings either. My guess is that, if anyone has seen one, they are keeping very quiet about it, for obvious reasons. I know that if I was lucky enough to meet one, I'd report it to someone on the Birds Australia conservation committee in detail, but for everyone else (yes, even my birdwatching mates) I'd report the location as something like "southwest Queensland".
I supose the obvious question is: has anyone seen any evidence of them since 1990? Do we still have reason to believe that they survive?
