Trip list from Namibia and Botswana last week, plus 41 species of mammal and 4 unidentified (as yet) birds…..

It wasn’t really a birding trip, more chilling out, photography and mammals but we still saw a fair bit……..

Botswana – The highlight of the trip, a huge (60 cm) ginger owl we found one perched on a riverside branch in Shakawe after dark.

Namibia – Two nesting over Okokuejo water hole in Etosha NP. One road kill on road from Anderson gate.

That's quite a list for someone just chilling. Sounds like a very good trip.

Just read your list for Namibia Bots. I am due out to Namibia 23rd Oct what was the pan itself like ? was there any water in it? how did you find Daan Viljoan I am going there too.
