Last night, for the first time in about 10 years, I worked out my UK, European, North West and Merseyside life lists (see my signature below). I've only been outside Europe once, to Florida, on a non-birding holiday. Even so I decided to work out what my World list was.
Turns out that the White-tailed Plover at Leighton Moss on Saturday was my 500th species. Pity I didn't realise that whilst I was watching the bird!
By the way, when I say North West, I mean from Anglesey to Cumbria, i.e. Anglesey, Gwynnd, Conwy, Denbighshire, Cheshire, Merseyside, Greater Manchester, Lancashire and Cumbria (sorry if I've missed anybody!)
Here's to the next five hundred and the Prem League!
Time for a quick dash from 365 to 400 I reckon! Should be able to do it in two years without knocking yourself out.
Congrats on the 500.
