My wife spotted a Barn Owl flying across the M60 near the Bredbury turn-off around 8 p.m. on Thursday evening. I've never seen a Barn Owl in Greater Manchester yet!

I had one fly over my car whilst I was driving close to the Trafford Centre about six years ago. I was surprised then, but I'd be even more surprised now, as where it probably hunted is now home to a hotel, an office block, a golf centre..... .....you get the idea.
