My only dissapointment on the trip was on the second day when the autofocus on my Sigma 150-500mm packed in. Fotunately I had a Nikon 55-300mm as backup so all was not lost. I can't say which birds we where unfortunately as I didn't make notes as I was going on photographic evidence, which having so many lifers all need to be confirmed at home.
Mallorca has a bad reputation for bad quality mass tourism, but out of those areas it is still a beautiful island and great for bird watching especially in spring. There are plenty of good fincas to rent and the local cuisine is very good if you look in the right places.
