World Trip Reports

Madeira, late Nov 2009

The climate was wonderful--+25 during the day and 16 to 18 at night!!!
Birding was OK, just 3 Cory's seen, still Plain Swifts around, Firecrests etc.
Lugar de Baixo had 3 American Wigeons, a Green-winged Teal and I also saw 3 Waxbills, Ringed Plover, Common Snipe and a Blackcap there.
Spectacled Warbler and Berthelot's Pipit seen at Ponta do Pargo by the Lighthouse
There were plenty of Bottlenose Dolphins to be seen and also a few Common Dolphins arrived on 29/11.
Unfortunately no Whales at all but that was not unexpected.
A nice break from the climes of NE Scotland!
