World Trip Reports

Looking for Herbert Raffaele

Hello all.

Upon reviewing some of my field notes I now realize that a sighting of 2 Monk Parakeets(building a nest) on the island of Providentials, Turks and Caicos, could be a first ever for that island.

I've checked Raffaele's "A Guide to the West Indies" and discovered no mention of that species in the Turks and Caicos.

If anyone knows of any contact information for Mr. Raffaele please come forward so my sighting report can be forwarded.

Thanks
dennis

Dennis,
Funny you mentioned him. I just ordered his book on Birds of the West Indies yesterday! Sounds like your notes and observations were well worthwhile and will encourage some of us to be more observant. Good going and good luck with the report.
