my rarest sighting is probably a wryneck in west yorkshire, i reported it and the people said that u r very lucky to have seen a wryneck cause they are extremmly rare around yorkshire. 
Well done! Wrynecks are tricky birds to find due to their secretive nature and looks. Even better thats it was inland, a rarer occurance than on the coast though no doubt plenty go missing because of their looks. I have actually only ever found one inland (Derbyshire) in 15 years of birding, so well done!
Make sure you let the county recorder know about it so it can be formly documented

wow i dident no that they were that rare thanx. me and me dad heard this strange call i looked up and there climbing up a tree was a wryneck, fascinating colour arenet they.
