What birds are on your patch's holiday wish list?
By looking at my county's bird list, I can see some winter arrivals that I missed during the first three months of this year. Just listing the abundant and the common ones will be enough to keep me busy. Below is my wish list for my Patch's 2005 list closing months.

Well off to the duck pond for me!
The ducks are finally here (or at least I finally found them). I found the shoveler, pintail, green winged teal and ruddy duck along with a Northern Harrier.
Heard the Barred owl out at the barn but still no Great Horned Owl.
Next a trip is to the sewage pond for Gulls. I'll try to make another trip to the duck pond in a couple of weeks.
Where can I find the Towhees, Tree sparrows and the Horned Lark? Seems like they should be in the pastures. I checked both the fallow pasture and the horse pasture and didn't find them.
Seems like the end of the year is approaching fast and I am only shy about 17 birds to make my goal of 250.
