Okay - keep in mind I'm fairly new to this (one year and counting) and I have a little backyard with 8 feeders, here is my list:
Sharp-Shinned Hawk
Ruby-Throated Hummingbird
Downy Woodpecker
Northern Flicker
Blue Jay
American Crow
Black-Capped Chickadee
White-Breasted Nuthatch
American Robin
European Starling
Northern Cardinal
Rose-Breasted Grosbeak
Indigo Bunting
Chipping Sparrow
Dark-Eyed Junco
Red-Winged Blackbird
Common Grackle
House Finch
American Goldfinch
House Sparrow
Mourning Dove
Red-Bellied Woodpecker
Red-Breasted Nuthatch
White Crowned Sparrow
Brown Headed Cowbird
Ring Billed Gull (well, flying overhead...)
Magnolia Warbler
It had been four months and no new birds when the indigo bunting, the rose breasted grosbeak and the magnolia warbler all showed up on the same day! Whoo Hoo!! I love the thrill of seeing something new...even if it is a common species. Since I'm looking out the window a lot (probably too much...) my neighbors probably think I'm some kind of nut, but oh well.
So that's my little list. Hopefully I'll add more soon. Keep your fingers crossed!!
