Does anyone else have a wishlist like this?
Not being hugely interested in rarities, I find that I've seen most of the British birds I really want to at least once or twice, and my attention is turning more to behaviours I'd like to see, and various other birding ambitions:
very roughly in order:
(1) hear a booming bittern
(2) see and hear a roding woodcock
(3) record and report the number of a ringed bird
(4) see great crested grebes courting (bit embarrassed I've never seen this!)
(5) find my own British Birds rarity
(6) see marsh harriers make a food pass
(7) hear a barn owl (even more embarrassed by this!)
(8) see a non-waterbird coming in off the sea
(9) see some British migrants on their overseas breeding or wintering grounds
(10) visit one of the big gannetries...preferably St Kilda

Nice thread James!
I've witnessed 4 and 6 on your list, but the others would be welcome additions!
I'd add witnessing 1,000's of wild geese departing for their breeding grounds. I've seen maybe 100's and that was exhilarating, but 1000's must be simply incredible.
And seeing a Peregrine make a kill. Must be awesome!
