The holiday exceeded all expectations - total bird tally was 143. If anyone wants the whole list please just pm me. My brain hurts at the moment!
We met some lovely people - no doubt lots are members of the Forum. Please make yourself known if you think we met (except that guy in the car, of course!) Hope Wayne and his friend got all the photos they wanted; it was good to meet Mr. & Mrs.Kalispera frequently; thanks to Alan for his advice; thanks to the man in the next room for explaining what the 'red flashing hand'on my camera meant. It was good to meet Kelvin and his wife - he was so pleased to have photographed the rock sparrow.
Some observations:
A pity about the road by the side of the river. Maybe that will be repaired by next year. We were told that some poor lady had gone over the edge of the banking one day whilst we were there.
We found that road on and past the Roman bridge a very nice experience - we didn't know where it came out though and it took us where we didn't need to be but we will use it again.
If anyone hasn't had enough of my spoutings and wants to read a more detailed and personal version, just let me know, but I'll need an -mail address as I'll type it in Wod and don't know how to transmit it any other way.

Good on yer! Maybe we should be doing too. If you want to stay at a first choice hotel/resort I suppose you have to book early. Our friends didn't and were staying in Petra. They liked the hotel and the town but it's not Skalla Kalloni is it?
But we have Spain in October to go to yet. Never been before.
