Latest edition, my birding news!

Hi all, latest edition to my list a Northern Lapwing, some were displaying on a local patch. Earlier today I heard a Starling mimicing, what I think was a Grey Wagtail calling.

Hi Jake,

Goodonyer - am I right that Lapwings are quite scarce now down your end of the country?

Michael

Yep, where I saw them I counted eight I think, I have never seen them anywhere else in Brighton, and I know they breed at Arundel wildfowl; there aren't even any in a perfect Skylark habitat on the edge of Brighton. Sussex is just not the one for Lapwing fields!
