at lake area Neusiedler See in Austria was usually much of water.
Not the lake itself rather the flat salty areas.
So waters are very near, but also other interesting birds.

Youve got some great birds there Dieter. There was a Citrine Wagtail near where I was in Norfolk recently but I missed out on it. I always seem to miss out on Penduline Tit when Im in Germany too ! By Barded Parrotbill you mean Bearded Tit ? (Bartmeise?)

Barded Parottbill is right.
Penduline Tit I saw once in Germany near Berlin in protected area Nuthe Nieplitz at so called Pfefferfließ.
River valley Recknitztal is another place for Penduline Tit.
This is well known in Germany for the best spot of Lesser-spotted Egale.
If You look for something special, I can check "Vögel Beobachten is Ostdeutschland" form our most well known birding Authors Christoph Moning and Christian Wagner .
I think the greatest adventure in Germany is the unique place in germany of Aquatic Warbler in Nationalpark Unteres Odertal.
Maybe easier is in Nationalpark Wartha River Mouth ( Poland ) near the boarder.
I was never bird in Britain. Normally I should no say this in such a forum.
Which place is easy reachable from Munich via plane ?
