Lady Amherst's no longer 'tickable'

The BOU has revised category C of the British list - Lady Amherst's pheasant has been downgraded to a 'formerly naturalised' species or somesuch. IMHO that means strict BOU 'rules' listers (like me )can no longer tick it, so if it's not on your british list now (like me ) it probably never will be.
On the plus side feral barnacle geese and red-crested pochard have been upgraded to category C, so tick away!!

not sure exactly what that means for LAP in real terms are they saying its extinct in the wild in the UK?

Doomed to extinction in the UK is I think the gist
