I've put an account of a recent trip to Finland on my blog:
http://thenaturalstone.blogspot.com...ia-finland.html
There are lots of photos of birds, butterflies, dragonflies, mammals, plants and views.
Birding highlights were the Swinhoe's Snipe, two family parties of Hazel Hen and one of Capercaillie, White-backed, Three-toed and Black Woodpeckers, Booted, Blyth's Reed and Greenish Warblers and Red-breasted Flycatcher.
Butterflies included Wood White, Map, both Pearl-bordered Fritillaries, Northern Chequered Skipper and Large Wall Brown.
Odonata inluded Northern Damselfly, Beautiful Demoiselle, two White-faced Darters, Azure Hawker and Club-tailed Dragonfly.
Mammals: Badger, Wood Lemming, Racoon Dog, Canadian Beaver, Muskrat, Brown and Arctic Hare.
The Racoon Dog was caught in a trap.
Some butterflies. The last is Small Pearl-bordered I think, despite the filename.
