I had an excellent three-week birding trip in Alaska last June. I visited the Pribilof islands, Nome, Seward and Denali Nat. Park.
We had excellent weather and I got to see everything I expected, although there hadn't been any west winds blowing from so we didn't get many Siberian vagrants. However, in some areas there was a nice mix of Eurasian and American species. And the scenary is just unbelievable.
It was fun to see American birders go nuts for a Northern Wheatear or a Yellow Wagtail (and they must have been amused to see me drool over an American Wigeon or a Yellow-rumped Warbler).
You can see a full report and birdlist with many photos at my web: http://www.iyufera.com/tr-alaska/tr-alaska01.htm
I enclose a photo of one my favourites of the trip, an immature Northern Saw-whet Owl at a nestbox.

Hi Ignacio,
An excellent report from a part of the world that I would love to visit. However, I am a bit put-off by your mention of high prices. What was the most expensive part of the trip was it flights, car hire accomodation or what ?
Cheers,
Stuart
PS Excellent avatar by the way.
Alaska looks amazing Ignacio (great photos), i could be persuaded to change my vote on the 'where in the world' thread.
