Good Afternoon Forum,
I came across this little sparrow under my feeders today and he's been hanging around the platform feeders most of the day, usually with the grosbeaks if they let him, sometimes by himself.
I THINK it's a first winter white crowned sparrow but I'm not sure. I've never in my life seen a sparrow up here in December so I have no idea what they should look like at this time of year.
Any help would be greatly appreciated!
Looks like one to me Tammie. I thought that they were fairly common in Ontario, I saw quiet a few in Algonquin, when I visited a few years ago, though this was in May.

Thanks Mark,
They are very common here.... in the summer! :) Like I said, this is the first one I've ever seen this late in the year. I never see sparrows of any kind normally past the end of October or so. This one is extremely rare!
