I went to Swan Lake Nature Sanctuary and saw a Gyrfalcon. This a lifer for me and I was very surprised to see it but very happy.

A white gyrfalcon perched in a quarry in southewest England and emerging like a ghost out of the gloom as day broke is one of my top three all-time birding memories.
