Hi All,
I have recently seen and photographed a BCNH that didn't have the normal black/blue back feathers. I just wanted to know if this is unusual, a common developmental stage, or a normal variation. Since this is my first post, I'll attempt to attach a photo, but can't guarantee that it'll work.
TIA to anyone who might be able to satisfy my curiosity about this.

it looks to be an immature bird, explaining why it has not gained the blueish back feathers yet.
