Went to look for the Great Grey Shrike in Wareham Forest (Morden Bog) this afternoon, and after a couple of hours I was about to give up when it landed on the top of a pine just near me. After about a minute it started to sing and continued until I left it about 25 mins. later, I do not think I have ever witnessed this singing before and I wonder if it is holding territory there!

Males often sing at this time of year it won`t be long before it leaves for it`s breeding grounds.
