World Trip Reports

Good weekend

JohnJ came up to the northeast for a couple of days birdwatching and we had quite a successful couple of days. I'll post a report in due course, but notable birds for me were

Wood Sandpiper at Saltholme Pool and Smallways Pond
Little Gull on Saltholme Pool (lifer for me)
Cinnamon Teal still on Smallways Pond
Whimbrel at Teesmouth Hide (lifer for me)
Red Crested Pochard still at Dorman's Pool
Grasshopper Warbler at Dorrman's Pool found by ourselves -heard, seen and photo'd (best shot by John)
Heard my first Cuckoo of the year
Pied Flycatcher at Barnard Castle.
Wood Warbler at Barnard Castle (lifer for me)
Black Grouse at Langdon Beck
Golden Plover in breeding plumage at Langdon Beck

Loads of other birds so a very good couple of days really.

That would be five lifers for me! I look forward to the report.

With three lifers, I would say it was a very good trip. Looking forward to your report.
