.. After grabbing several other bird photographers at the Gilbert water Ranch we all conceded that it is a common Great Blue Heron in mating colors. There was other herons there also, but not as showy as this oneMy jaw dropped when I saw the white spot on this heron shining in the sun. At first I thought it was a tricolored heron (never seen one) or some kind of unknown heron or a bird from Mars. ..
