End of May on St Martins, Isles of Scilly.

Went for my usual week at the end of may to this stunningly beautiful island and was beset by mist, fog, rain, westerly gales and low, low temperatures instead of the more usual warm sunshine. Still, didn't put the birds (or me for that matter) off. saw 41 species, nothing desperately uncommon but a fine male Marsh Harrier, a few Spotted Flycatchers and Turtle Doves certainly added to the week. Also saw a pure white gull off St Marys - Not close enough to ID unfortunately.
