On a short trip to Dresden at xmas, i managed to see some really interesting birds in the old town.
Slavonian Grebe - 1 on the river, next to the bridge between the palace and new town. Was a few feet away fortunatley, as i had no bins.
Great White Egret - 1 flew over the main cathedral, quite a surprise.
Mandarin Duck - 2 pairs on the river, tickable? Not sure if there is a sizeable population in German.
Egyptian Goose - 10 on the river bank, people were taking pictures of them, so maybe a group from the tickable? population in the north.
Short toed treecreeper - 1 in local park, sounded like one anyway.

Thanks for posting, and welcome to the forum. I have great memories from a trip to Prague 6 years ago.
