Well, I'm back! It was hard to leave (especially because everyone we met seemed to be staying for another week!) But it looks like we missed Toronto's worst winter storm in years, so I guess I really can't complain! :)
A friend got an amazing price for an all-inclusive week in Juan Dolio (just outside of Santo Domingo). This was definitely not a birding trip (so I'm sure with the cocktail in each hand, and bins around my neck, I painted an interesting picture). But I did manage to see 44 species, of which 22 were Lifers (and I finally got my nemisis MANGROVE CUCKOO!!)

Thanks Dennis! I really should have typed it up in report form, but I was feeling a little lazy. Must be from all the shovelling since I've been back. 
There were only two real "birding days". The rest of the time we pretty much hung out at the resort.
