As Rare??
Hello Forum,
While outside with the camera this afternoon, (I'll explain why in a
minute), it suddenly dawned on me that I was hearing evening grosbeaks singing in the trees! Didn't see them but there is definitely NO mistaking them! Yippee!! Maybe their cousins aren't too far behind! Oh, I can't wait!!! :)
Anyway, I was outside taking pictures of different, non-winged critters in the yard. First one I spotted was either a martin. Cute as a button but I'm not getting any closer than the camera... they have SHARP teeth!
Second critter I saw, I could have easily done without. I just happened to peak around the yard and spotted a large SKUNK running across the back lawn! Let's hope he didn't bring the family.
Tis the season....! :) Two pictures coming up...
Ooohhh! Scarrry!!!
Hi Tammie,
Great animals coming into your yard! I think the only wild mammals we have had in our yard here in Saint Joseph, Missouri, are opposum and racoon.
Are you sure that is a Martin, could it be a Mink? I noticed you said it was "either a martin".
